MailStore not affected by OpenSSL vulnerability “Heartbleed”

The critical bug known as “Heartbleed” in the crypto-library OpenSSL does not affect MailStore’s software solutions. The vulnerability allows attackers to access sensitive data such as user names and passwords in clear text, session-ids and private keys used by the servers to encrypt SSL traffic.

OpenSSL is not used by any MailStore component, which instead makes use of Windows’ built-in cryptographic libraries.

You can check on http://filippo.io/Heartbleed, whether other websites or services you are using are affected by the vulnerability.
